'RT Co.'s' mission is to expose truth through photography. How can photography uncover truth? One quality of Photography that is associated with Truth is the representation of beauty. The link between truth and beauty has been debated for centuries. We at Rising Tide embrace a simple approach, best exemplified by the work of John Keats (1785-1821). In his poem "Ode on a Grecian Urn" he writes:
"Beauty is truth, truth beauty," - that is all Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.
Postmodernism states that truths can be a product of culture, which change over time. Modernism states that there are truths that are universal and unchanging. Photography is a medium which can test these philosophical questions.¶ Therefore, our approach is to help form true beliefs about the world. Consequently, our mandate is to never manipulate an image to convey something other than what was captured.¶ We strive to discover, create, and share compelling imagery for those who embrace beauty as truth. It's about creating a fresh outlook of the things that make us better - a pursuit of truth through a lens.¶ These efforts are made to encourage all to explore the world, capture truth, and as a result contribute to the world of great photography.¶

By 4:30am we had resented the wake up call, brushed our teeth and set off for the airport. This morning's sunrise was best seen from 20,000 feet up. Click the slide for more.

I didn't pull the camera out again until the beach called my eye back to it's post behind the lens. Just long walks on the beach from here on out.

As twilight set in, and the sun set out, it left one last impression. It's crazy how a little light can change a scene completely.
